AWARD WINNING WORK

Carriage House Canvas, LLC won the award "Best Marine Interior Upholstery (Power or Sail)" at the Mid-Atlantic Regional Convention. We completely reupholstered a stateroom of a 52 foot British yacht after a sinking. Diana called the project "Very challenging, but rewarding." The headboard alone was composed of individual panels which required precise matching as it flared in and out, while wrapping around the stateroom. The project replacement of all upholstered areas included the headliner, bulkhead, and valances. "Additionally, the customer wanted as close to what he had originally, but working with current fabrics available required a lot of phone calls and ingenuity to achieve the desired finished look. It was truly a team effort - collaborating with the customer, manufacturers, and suppliers."

AWARD WINNING WORK

Carriage House Canvas, LLC won the award "Most Unusual Design" at the Chesapeake Marine Canvas Fabricators Association annual convention. The award is for a boat cover in the traditional style mooring cover, with optional side panels to protect the hull of the boat while it is up on a lift. There is a hidden zipper flap so that the zippers are protected from the sun. Additionally, the cover and panels can be installed while the boat is on the lift. Diana thinks that it is a testimony of her willingness and desire to partner with the boat owner that lent itself to this unique project.
